S'mores after dinner
S'mores after dinner

In lieu of a traditional spring camping trip to French Creek State Park or Ridley Creek (as had been originally planned), we pivoted to an indoor option that had proven itself enjoyable in the past. We gathered for activities and a sleepover at Temple Lutheran Church. It started outdoors at nearby Brookline park, then returned to the church cafe for pizza, then moved out to a fire pit for s'mores. As the sun went down, we moved inside for knockout, kickball and other activities. We often broke into age groups to maintain some level of sanity. But if the deafening cacophony of giggles and squeels was any indicator of the fun levels, we were dialing it up to 11.

I think we'll look to get back outdoors next year where the sound of 40+ kids can scare off the animals instead of the parents. But this was very convenient for those of us juggling other activities and struggling to commit to a full weekend away. So pros and cons. Getting them together to socialize is always a win though.
