2026 Crossover to Troop 434

In a first for Pack 462, the 2025-26 class of AOL (Arrow of Light) Scouts had a seperate ceremony at the March Pack meeting to facilitate an earlier transition into the troop. This crossover ceremony had previously been part of the end of season Blue and Gold (B&G) ceremony for many years, but the timing of that event doesn't allow the Scouts to get a feel for the next level before it's time to sign up for the all important summer camp. Now they can start going to troop meetings earlier while still welcome to attend upcoming pack events like the Pinewood and the April Church Lock-in.

The change in the schedule didn't change the importance of the honor. In fact, Pastor Tim went above and beyond to honor these Scouts by creating engraved wooden plaques with each of their names. There were 11 graduating Scouts in the class and at least half have already began participating in troop meetings and/or signed up to attend summer camp. Hopefully, they can recruit the rest of their friends to give Scouting at the next level a chance. If so, this could be the biggest crop to transition in years.
